In Bhagavad Gita Chapter 13, Krishna explains the concepts of "field" (the body and its material aspects) and "knower of the field" (the soul), emphasizing the importance of understanding the relationship between the two to achieve liberation.

Arjun said, “O Keshav, I wish to understand what are prakṛiti and puruṣh, and what are kṣhetra and kṣhetrajña? I also wish to know what is true knowledge, and what is the goal of this knowledge?
O Arjun, this body is termed as kṣhetra (the field of activities), and the one who knows this body is called kṣhetrajña (the knower of the field) by the sages who discern the truth about both.
I am also the knower of all the individual fields of activity. The understanding of the body as the field of activities, and the soul and God as the knowers of the field, this I hold to be true knowledge.

Prakriti and Purusha:
Krishna distinguishes between Prakriti (nature, or matter) and Purusha (the spirit or consciousness), explaining how the soul interacts with the material world through the body and its senses.
Praquater prusah (matter/sprit)
shatra
This body is called the field and the one that knows the body is called
the knower of field.
The knower of the field is ME (Lord Krishna)

Six questions by Arjuna. Krishna's answers: Paramatma is one of the knower. We are made up of 24 elements, soul and super soul. Through devotional service all the 20 qualities will be developed. Any other quality is ignorance. Soul is eternal, Paramatma is all pervading. Only devotees can understand all these. Real purusha is paramatma. Living entity is the cause nature is the deed. Clear vision is everything is combination of soul, super soul and nature. Soul desires, Super soul sanctions and material nature manifests.

Perform your duty without expectation

Krishna explains the distinction between the body, soul and super soul. One must understand the process of acquiring knowledge that is devotional service and gradually enlighten themselves and get transferred to spiritual world

Arjuna asked Krishna - Can you explain 6 questions

  4. kṣhetrajña (knower of the field-soul, its trapped in this body).consciousness within the field (body
  5. Gyanam (knowledge) what is true knowledge and how is it attained?
  6. Gneya  (the object of knowledge) what is the ultimate object of knowledge, the ultimate reality?\
